About Church of Saints Theodore Tyro and Theodore Stratelates, Dobarsko
The Church of Saints Theodore Tyro and Theodore Stratelates stands in the village of Dobarsko, high above the Razlog valley. It was built in 1614 and is a national cultural monument because of its well-preserved wall paintings.
The frescoes are known for an unusual image of Christ ascending, which some visitors compare to a figure in a spacesuit; the village is also a starting point for walks into the Rila Mountains.
