About Sandanski
Sandanski is a town and recreation centre in south-western Bulgaria, part of Blagoevgrad Province. It lies in the Sandanski–Petrich valley at the foot of the Pirin Mountains, about 20 km from the Greek border and 100 km from the Aegean Sea.
The town has a mild climate, with the highest average annual temperature in Bulgaria, and is known for its mineral springs and spa treatments. Its Episcopal Basilica and Archaeological Museum are among the 100 National Tourist Sites.
