About Tsari Mali Grad Museum Complex
Tsari Mali Grad is a late-Roman fortress and fortified settlement on St. Spas hill in the Verila mountain, above the village of Belchin in Samokov municipality. It was excavated between 2007 and 2010.
Parts of the walls, towers and a church have been restored, and a museum displays finds from the site. From the hill there are views over the Samokov valley and the Rila Mountains.
