About Koprivshtitsa
Koprivshtitsa is a historic town in Sofia Province, on the Topolnitsa River in the Sredna Gora mountains, 111 km east of Sofia. It was one of the centres of the April Uprising of 1876.
The town preserves the atmosphere of the 19th-century Bulgarian National Revival, with many house museums, and hosts a national folk music festival every five years.
