About Natural History Museum, Cherni Osam

The Natural History Museum in the village of Cherni Osam, in Troyan municipality, was founded in 1956. It presents the plants and animals of the central Balkan Mountains, with mounted mammals and birds, insects and a herbarium.

The village lies at the edge of the Central Balkan National Park and is a starting point for trails into the mountains.
