National Tourist Site
About Maarata: Krushuna Waterfalls
The Krushuna Waterfalls are in the Maarata area just outside the village of Krushuna, in Letnitsa municipality. A karst spring flows out of a cave and down a series of travertine terraces, forming turquoise pools and small cascades.
Wooden paths and bridges lead through the forest to the main fall and up to the spring. The remains of the Roman forts Kaleto and Daran-baran lie about 500 metres south of the village.
