About Teteven History Museum

The History Museum in Teteven presents the history of the area from prehistory to the Liberation of Bulgaria. It was founded in 1911 by the local teacher Mihal Koychev and moved in 1932 into a building designed for it, later extended.

Its collection of about 4,600 items covers archaeology, the Revival period and the town's role in the April Uprising of 1876.
