About National Cave House, Karlukovo

The National Cave House "Petar Tranteev" stands on the edge of a sheer cliff in the Kaleto area above the right bank of the Iskar river, near the village of Karlukovo. It was designed by the architect Kiril Maslarski for the Bulgarian Tourist Union.

The area is part of the Iskar–Panega geopark. Close by is the Prohodna cave, famous for two round openings in its ceiling known as the Eyes of God.
