About Snezhanka Cave

Snezhanka is a show cave in the Rhodope Mountains above the town of Peshtera. It was discovered in 1961 and opened to visitors in 1965. Its name, meaning Snow White, comes from the white formations of its first halls.

The cave has a series of halls with stalactites, stalagmites and draperies in white, red and brown. A path through the forest leads up from the town.
