About Lepenitsa Cave

Lepenitsa is a cave in the western Rhodopes, about 8 km south of Velingrad. It has more than 1,500 metres of mapped passages on several levels, with an underground river and lakes.

The cave has not been fitted with lighting, so visits are made with helmets and headlamps, with a local guide.
