About Kyustendil: Vladimir Dimitrov Gallery, Peshev House and St. George Church
The Vladimir Dimitrov – the Master Art Gallery in Kyustendil shows the work of one of the best-loved Bulgarian painters, known for his bright scenes of village life. Behind it is the house of Dimitar Peshev, the politician who in 1943 helped stop the deportation of Bulgaria's Jews; it is now a museum.
The Church of St. George in the Kolusha neighbourhood was built in the 10th–11th century and keeps layers of frescoes from the 11th–12th century onwards. The Regional History Museum is also part of the stamp point.
