About Ruen Peak

Ruen is the highest peak of the Osogovo mountains, on the border between Bulgaria and North Macedonia. It is formed of granite and schist and is covered with alpine meadows.

The usual starting points for the climb are Osogovo hut, the Three Beeches hotel and the village of Gyueshevo. From the summit there are views over Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
