About Museum of Education, House of Humour and Uzana
The House of Humour and Satire is a museum and gallery of humour art, with cartoons, photographs, paintings and sculpture from around the world; Gabrovo calls itself the international capital of humour, with the motto "The world lasts because it laughs". The National Museum of Education is in a wing of the Aprilov High School, opened in 1835 as the first modern Bulgarian secular school.
Uzana, a mountain resort 22 km south of the town at about 1,350 metres, is marked as the geographical centre of Bulgaria.
