About Etar Open-Air Ethnographic Museum
Etar is an open-air museum just south of Gabrovo, at the edge of the Bulgarka Nature Park. Spread over 7 hectares, it has about 50 buildings, including houses with craftsmen's workshops and water-powered installations such as mills, a fulling mill and a sawmill.
Craftsmen work in the shops on the old bazaar street, making pottery, copper, knives, sweets and woollen goods by traditional methods.
