About Pomorie Salt Museum and Ancient Domed Tomb
The Salt Museum in Pomorie is an outdoor museum: next to its building are 20 decares of salt pans where sea salt is still produced by the ancient Anchialos method of solar evaporation. Salt was the main source of the town's wealth in the Middle Ages, and the museum is the only one of its kind in south-east Europe.
The stamp point also includes the ancient domed tomb at the edge of Pomorie, a large late-Roman tomb with a central pillar, built in the 2nd to 4th century AD.
