About Pomorie Lake Visitor Centre
Lake Pomorie is the northernmost of the Burgas lakes, a hyper-saline lagoon of about 8.5 km² separated from the sea by a narrow sand spit. It is a protected area and an important stop for migrating birds on the Via Pontica route.
The visitor centre, run by the Green Balkans conservation group, has observation points over the lake, an exhibition on the lake's birds and on salt making, and a trail along the shore.
