About Cape Kaliakra and Kavarna History Museum
Kaliakra is a long, narrow headland 12 km east of Kavarna, with steep cliffs up to 70 metres high. It is a nature reserve on the Via Pontica migration route, and dolphins and cormorants can often be seen from the cliffs. The headland carries the walls of a fortress that was the seat of the medieval Despotate of Dobruja, and a small museum in a cave.
The History Museum on the central square of Kavarna completes the stamp point.
