About Shiroka Laka
Shiroka Laka is a village in Smolyan Municipality in the central Rhodope Mountains, 23 km north-west of Smolyan and 16 km west of Pamporovo. It is a declared architectural and folklore reserve.
The village is known for its 18th- and 19th-century Rhodope houses, stone bridges and the National School of Folk Arts, and for its Kukeri festival in early March.
