About Kotel
Kotel is a town in central Bulgaria, in Sliven Province, and the centre of Kotel Municipality. It is known for the many National Revival figures connected to it, such as the enlighteners Sophronius of Vratsa and Petar Beron and the revolutionary Georgi Rakovski.
Kotel has a well-known music school and a carpet-weaving tradition, and the nearby village of Zheravna is an architectural reserve.
