About Vladislav Varnenchik Park-Museum

The Vladislav Varnenchik Park-Museum in Varna was created in 1924 on the site of the Battle of Varna of 1444, where the crusading army of the Polish and Hungarian King Władysław III was defeated by the Ottomans and the king was killed.

The park contains a symbolic mausoleum built over an ancient Thracian mound, a museum on the battle and the Crusade of Varna, and a memorial to the soldiers who fell.
