About Villa Armira and Ivaylovgrad History Museum
Villa Armira is a Roman country villa of the 1st to 3rd century near Ivaylovgrad, in the eastern Rhodopes. It is one of the richest Roman villas found in Bulgaria, with marble wall facings and floor mosaics, including portraits of the owner and his sons.
The Municipal History Museum in Ivaylovgrad opened in 2009 and shows finds from the villa and the region.
