About Eastern Rhodopes Nature Conservation Centre, Madzharovo
The Nature Conservation Centre "Eastern Rhodopes" in Madzharovo is run by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds. The rocks of the Arda valley around the town are one of the best places in Bulgaria to see griffon, Egyptian and black vultures.
The centre has an exhibition on the birds and nature of the eastern Rhodopes, and trails lead to viewing points over the cliffs.
