Early Career

Born in Popovo on 2 May 1974, Raikova won a modelling and fashion contest in 1989, aged 15. In 1992, she became the first winner of Mini Miss Bulgaria, a contest for girls no taller than 1.66 metres. That year she also joined the newspaper Haylife after winning a journalism competition. She later worked as a reporter at Bulgarian National Television for seven years, including on its night block and the programme Private Case, and spent six months as an editor at Observer.¹

Television Work

Raikova worked as a model in Sofia and Vienna for three years and presented Exclusive on Eurocom. She studied law at Sofia University. From 2004 to 2014 she hosted the tabloid programme Hot on Nova Television. Her other television work included The Diary of Veneta on TV7 in 2015–2016, Hot Meetings with Veneta Raikova on BIT in 2017, and Paparazzi on bTV from 2017 to 2020. In September and October 2025, she hosted Before Noon on bTV.¹

Books and Family

Raikova married Tihomir Georgiev, a participant in the first season of Big Brother, in July 2005. They have a son, Patrick, born on 18 February 2009. The couple divorced in 2018. Raikova has published fiction and non-fiction, including books from 2016 onward. Her works include novels and a 2024 book about types of magic and how to clear them oneself.¹
