About Yambol Bezisten

The Bezisten in Yambol is a covered market of the 15th–16th century. With the one in Shumen, it is one of only two bezistens left in Bulgaria from Ottoman times, and it is counted among the most beautiful covered markets in the Balkans.

The stone building has a long hall under a row of domes. It was declared a monument of national importance in 1972 and now houses an interactive museum.
