About Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak
The Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak is a vaulted brick beehive tomb near the town of Kazanlak in central Bulgaria. It is part of a large royal Thracian necropolis in the Valley of the Thracian Rulers, near the ancient capital of Seuthopolis, where more than a thousand tombs of Thracian royalty and aristocracy are found.
The tomb dates to the 4th century BC and its murals are among the best-preserved paintings of the Hellenistic period. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979; visitors see an exact replica next to the original.
