Über Zoo Sofia
Der Zoo Sofia wurde am 1. Mai 1888 per königlichem Erlass gegründet und ist der älteste Zoo Südosteuropas. In den 1980er-Jahren zog er an seinen heutigen Standort im Bezirk Lozenets und umfasst 36 Hektar.
Heute leben hier etwa 2.000 Tiere aus rund 280 Arten, darunter Bären, Elefanten, Großkatzen und eine große Vogelsammlung.
