Über Borovets
Borovets, bis Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts als Chamkoria bekannt, ist ein Bergkurort in der Gemeinde Samokov, Provinz Sofia, an den Nordhängen des Rila-Gebirges. Die nächstgelegene Stadt ist Samokov.
Er ist einer der wichtigsten Skiorte Bulgariens und war Austragungsort von Weltcuprennen im alpinen Skisport. Im Sommer ist er Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Rila und für die Besteigung des Musala, des höchsten Gipfels des Balkans.
