Über Magura-Höhle
Die Magura-Höhle liegt nahe dem Dorf Rabisha, 25 km von Belogradchik entfernt. Sie ist eine der größten Höhlen Bulgariens, mit Hallen von bis zu 50 Metern Höhe.
An ihren Wänden befinden sich prähistorische Malereien aus Fledermausguano, die Menschen, Tiere und Sterne darstellen und von der Jungsteinzeit bis zur Bronzezeit datiert werden. Die gleichbleibende Temperatur macht die Höhle ideal für Wein: Ein Teil wird zur Herstellung eines Schaumweins nach der traditionellen Methode genutzt.
