Lovech auf einen Blick
Die Provinz Lovech liegt im nördlichen Zentrum Bulgariens und umfasst acht Gemeinden. Die Provinzhauptstadt Lovech liegt etwa 150 km nordöstlich von Sofia am Fluss Osam und ist für ihre überdachte Brücke und das alte Viertel Varosha bekannt.
Die Provinz verfügt über eine industrielle Basis, zu der das ehemalige Montagewerk von Great Wall Motor bei Lovech gehört, das 2012 eröffnet wurde. Im Süden reicht sie bis in den höchsten Teil des Balkangebirges und den Nationalpark Zentralbalkan; Troyan, Teteven, Apriltsi und Ribaritsa bieten Bergtourismus und das Kloster Troyan.
