About Vitosha
Vitosha is a mountain massif on the outskirts of Sofia and one of the symbols of the city. It is the closest place to the capital for hiking, climbing and skiing, and bus lines and ropeways make it easy to reach.
Vitosha has the outline of an enormous dome, and most of it lies within Vitosha Nature Park, the oldest nature park in the Balkans. Its highest point is Cherni Vrah. The Aleko area is the centre for skiing.
