German-Bulgarian company SRS-Bulgaria EOOD will plunk BGN 483.7 million in the construction of wind power plant near General Toshevo, in the east of the southeast European country.

The 60-turbine Spasovo wind farm, with a nameplate capacity of 150 MW—180 MW, will stomach BGN 6.5 million in 2010 and a further BGN 292.6 million and BGN 186 million in the following two years, respectively.

The project will create 20 jobs. Construction works are scheduled for completion in 2011.

Pleven-based SRS-Bulgaria invests in energy efficiency and innovative green technologies. The company has won a first-class investment certificate -- a document that provides fast-track administrative and other state support -- for the project.

Since January, InvestBulgaria Agency -- the country’s investment promotion authority -- has issued two more wind power certificates. In April, it issued a certificate for IVTS Bulgaria VP5, which plans to build a BGN 11 million wind project in Krushari. Furthermore, PCC Izvorsko will build a BGN 78.2 million wind farm near Varna, on the northern Black Sea coast.
