At the present moment, Andezit LTD and Andela PLC are the major producers in the joint production of inert materials for the district of Bourgas. The first one is specialized in mining in the exploited deposits and exploration of new ones, whereas the latter processes blasted rocks up to final products. Raw materials are extracted from the deposits of volcanic rocks of “ Gorno Ezerovo”, “ Bulgarovo” and “ Galata”- Karnobat, and for the production of sands the Pliocene placer of the “ Novoseltsi 3” and “ Venetz” ballast-pits.
