BM Leasing AD was set up in 2003 with major shareholder the Bulgarian-American Enterprise Fund (BAEF). At present its major shareholder is the Balkan Accession Fund (BAF) through its Dutch company Emerging Europe Leasing & Finance B.V. (EELF). The main shareholders of BAF are the Romanian American Enterprise Fund (RAEF), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), The Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO), Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) and Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB). BM Leasing AD is a member of the Bulgarian Association for Leasing (BAL).
The company has a two-tier management structure - three member Supervisory Board and five member Managing Board.
The accounting policy of BM Leasing AD is carried out in accordance with the principles of the International Financial Reporting Standards. The Company Auditor is PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit OOD and their opinion for all audited periods including the year 2008 does not contain any qualifications or remarks. The first bond issue of BM Leasing AD in the amount of EUR 3.5 million was approved for secondary public offering in 2006.
