The company was established in 1995 with focus on scrap metal collection, processing and trade with waste metals and has since grown to become the leading scrap metal company in Bulgaria. With 22% ferrous scrap market share and 16% non-ferrous scrap market share the company is the market leader in Bulgaria and significant factor on the country's import/export market.
Scale is crucial for success in the scrap metal industry. Since establishment, Nord Holding has managed to grow its size exponentially and currently owns the largest network of collection yards in the country. The company has 182 collection points in total (owned and rented) spread strategically to cover all major regions of Bulgaria. The company's position is especially strong in the capital city of Sofia, the biggest regional market in the country.
Nord Holding has established solid long-term trading relationships with leading industrial suppliers of scrap metal on the market. In addition, the company has contracts with all major consumers of scrap metal in the country. The company also exports scrap to customers throughout Europe and Asia.
Nord Holding AD is a joint stock company - successor of the established in 1995 Nord Ltd. Company, registered with Decision № 1/15.05.1995 and entered in the Commercial Register under company file № 8478/1995 of Sofia City Court.
Currently, the company is transformed into Nord Holding AD and entered in the commercial register at the Registry Agency on 18.09.2008.
