ZBS is an investment manager and a developer of lifestyle shopping centres in Bulgaria. Over the last three years ZBS has assembled projects of over ?150m under the brand name STRAND which focus on lifestyle, energy efficiency and sustainable rental levels. To do that ZBS pioneered the open air mall concept in Bulgaria which gives more opportunities to create unique and highly desirable retail and lifestyle environment and at the same time cost less to build and maintain than conventional malls.
This format is particularly suitable for a country like Bulgaria: in the short term - it offers real value to retailers in an emerging market, in the long run – it’s lifestyle focus correlates strongly with the maturing of the tourist industry as a the country takes full advantage of its unique climatic and geographical resources.
